Recordings
Below are a small selection of recordings made in September 2008 when Richard
Hills was trying the 'theatre' side of the organ one evening. They are all
mp3 files.
These are not supposed to be top quality recordings and were made using a
single stereo pair of mics placed about half way or so back down the hall. For a
'proper' recording much more carefull and probably closer microphone placement
would be required and indeed more than just a single pair would be used.
Furthermore work on the organ was not finished at that time, it was not properly
in tune and there was still several weeks of adjustments and further work to do
before the opening concert in October 2008.
However we hope they impart a feel for how superb this instrument now sounds
in its theatrical or orchestral mode. We will hopefully be able to add some
classical recordings in due course.
